Two Women Shot At Lincoln University, Lower Oxford: Police

Police are searching for a suspect who shot two women Saturday night at Lincoln University's annual "Yardfest" spring celebration.

LOWER OXFORD, PA —A search continued Sunday for a suspect who fired shots Saturday night at two women at Lincoln University's annual Yardfest attended by several thousand students, faculty and guests, police said.

The university was in lockdown at 10 p.m. Saturday night following reports of the shootings. The lockdown was lifted Sunday morning.

Lincoln University’s president, Brenda Allen, said in a statement that “a gun was discharged causing two nonfatal injuries, according to a report from the Associated Press.

The female victims, who were not university students, were in the LLC Building at the university when they were shot.

Both victims, who did not know each other, were taken to Christiana Hospital. One victim was treated and released, and the other victim is in stable condition.
