U.S. Rep.Chrissy Houlahan Requests $3.7 Million For Chesco Projects
The projects include upgrades to the District Attorney's forensic unit, infrastructure improvements in parks, and help for nonprofits.

WASHINGTON, D.C, — U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan advanced requests for $3.75 million to fund nine Chester County projects to the House Appropriations Committee.
The Chester County Democrat said the decision is not final, but is one step closer to delivering funding to Pennsylvania’s 6th district, which covers all of Chester County and portions of Berks County.
In April, Houlahan was recognized by Science Magazine for her transparent, balanced Community Project Funding selection process. These projects were selected along with a half dozen Berks County projects out of 40 proposals.

“Here in southeastern Pennsylvania, we are known for our service to others and community engagement—and these 15 projects are a reflection of those guiding principles,” Houlahan said.
“From workforce development and housing assistance to violence reduction and support for first responders, I’m extremely proud to advance funding for these projects.”
