WEST CHESTER, PA —Chester County Director of Elections Karen Barsoum said Friday there are an estimated 300 individuals who applied to vote, but are not yet verified to vote.

She said the unverified individuals are those whose voters' information does not match previous information on file.

If a voter supplies a driver's license with an online ballot application, the system automatically cross-references it to PennDOT.

Mail Not Associated With County Voter Services

Barsoum said the letter was sent to voters about information lthat looks like a report card of a voter that did not from the county voter elections services and it not endorsed by the county.

She asked all residents to unsubscribe from the group.

"A letter sent to inform voters about information like a report card - did not come from our department and was not endorsed by Chester County," Barsoum said.

She asked that anyone who received the letter unsubscribed by calling 866-377-7396.

Following the formal meeting, residents shared that the process has become so complicated with all of the mail-in ballot procedures.

Darren Tucker of Wallace Township suggested getting rid of mail-in ballots.

“We have to go back to the way it was,” he said of in-person voting.

The commissioners thanked the voter services officer for their hard work in training polls workers and preparing for the election.

The county had provided these videos on election procedures.
