Vandals Damage West Chester Railroad

Police said nine juveniles climbed on equipment and broke windows on trains and damaged trains on Friday, July 28.

WEST CHESTER, PA —Vandals smashed glass windows on trains Friday night on the grounds of the West Chester Railroad, a tourist attraction in the borough.

Police said they are searching for nine juveniles who entered the West Chester Railroad at 8 p.m. and rode around the grounds for 15 minutes.

The vandals climbed on the equipment and broke windows in a locomotive, a coach, and a truck, according to police.

The railroad is a tourist attraction that runs between West Chester and Glen Mills. It was built in the 1800s.
