Victory Brewing Plays Pandemic Well, Boosts Bottled Lagers
Sales of Prima Pils and Victory lagers went up as people hunkered down with a comfy beer.
DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Many restaurants and bars are struggling through the pandemic, but Victory Brewing had an ace up their sleeve; bottled brews that they marketed wisely.
The Downingtown brewer and local eatery chain enjoyed a rise in lager sales during the pandemic.
As the pandemic wore on through spring and into summer, Victory's sales were up, with its lagers selling faster than its ales.

"Our innovation beers have not fared nearly as well as the tried-and-true," said Victory Brewing co-owner Bill Covaleski in a story published by SevenFifty Daily.
Victory’s Prima Pils has seen its sales increase this year after falling over the last few years.

Victory Brewing Company describes itself as a craft brewery started in Downingtown "by childhood friends Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet" in 1996. Victory has a brewery in Parkesburg, and taprooms in Kennett Square and Downingtown.
The Parkesburg taproom features a self-guided tour area overlooking the entire brewing facility, Victory's website says.
