West Chester August Bar Fight With Gunfire Brings 13 Charges Against Brookhaven Man
West Chester Police report they found the man who fired shots on Aug. 23 in the Borough, and he has been charged with multiple felonies.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A 2 a.m. bar fight included gunshots fired in West Chester late in August, and a police investigation has led to 13 charges against a man from Brookhaven.
Jayronn Harris, 25, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, riot, carrying a firearm without a license, possessing instruments of a crime, riot, and criminal mischief, according to a police report. Court records show Harris faces 13 charges in all, six of which are felonies.
The charges follow an incident in late August of gunfire. Just before 2 a.m. on Aug.23, the West Chester Police were called to the 50 block of West Gay Street for a report of shots fired.

A police investigation found there had been an altercation inside of a bar in the block, and the fight migrated out onto W. Gay Street. According to the police report, Harris was seen firing four shots from a handgun. Two of the gunshots struck a business in the 50 block of W. Gay Street.
On Sept. 1, police obtained a warrant and on Sept. 9 police said they had located Harris. He was taken into police custody without incident, a police report said.

Bail is set at $500,000 and Harris has not posted bail. A preliminary hearing date is not shown in court documents.
