West Chester: Ciarrocchi Leads Republican 6-D Race: Too Close To Call
The winner of the Republican primary will face incumbent, Chrissy Houlahan, an Easttown Township, Democrat.

WEST CHESTER — Guy Ciarrocchi is leading the Republican primary for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the 6th District, according to unofficial results available this morning.
The district covers all of Chester County and southeastern Berks County.
The winner of the 4-way race will face incumbent Chrissy Houlahan, an Easttown Township Democrat, who ran unopposed, garnering 65,598 votes, including 53,732 from Chester County and 11,866 from Berks County.

As of 10 a.m., Ciarrocchi garnered 33% of the votes, amounting to 25,777, including 22,794 from Chester County and 2,983 from Berks County.
Steve Fanelli, was trailing behind with 30% of the votes, including 20,652 from Chester County and 3,123 from Berks County.

Ron Vogel was the top vote getter in Berks County, with 4,248 voters. Overall, he got 22% of the vote, which also includes 15,254 from Chester County.
Regina Maura received 14% of the votes, which includes 10,173 from Chester and 2,910 from Berks.

Houlahan said that she looks forward to continuing to engage with every corner of the community, earn the voters’ support again, and driving solutions that tangibly improve their lives.
“Serving the good people of Chester and Berks counties is the honor of my lifetime and service I intend to continue,” Houlahan said, after winning the primary election on Tuesday.
“As an Air Force veteran, entrepreneur, teacher, and mother, I continue to meaningfully connect with and advocate for all people across our district,” Houlahan said.
“Our community trusts that working to rebuild the local economy, drive down the costs of everyday purchases, and ensure that our kids receive a world-class education, and to do so in a bipartisan and respectful manner, will continue to be my focus.”
Members of the House of Representatives are elected to serve 2-year terms at an annual salary of $174,000.
The primary race for U.S. Congressional 6th District is the most heated primary race in Chester County.
Mail-in, absentee and provisional ballots are still being counted in Chester and Berks counties.
