West Chester Holiday Festivities Begin This Weekend

The borough is lit up and ready for locals and visitors to get into the holiday spirit.

WEST CHESTER, PA —The historic downtown West Chester district is decked out with the glow of twinkling lights and festive decorations for the holiday season.

The stores are ready for locals and visitors for early shopping for the holiday during the Thanksgiving long weekend from Friday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Nov. 26.

“We’re also offering plenty of free, family-friendly activities and free street-level, metered parking as we head into Thanksgiving weekend,” Katie Walker, president of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, said this week.

Weekend of Nov. 24 to 26:

Friday, Dec. 1

  • West Chester Christmas Parade: 7 p.m. preceded by Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m. Adam Joseph ABC6 meteorologist, Kathy Romano of WMMR The Preston & Steve Show will be hosting the parade.
