West Chester Man Arrested In Connection With Drug And Gun Operation
Joseph Edwards Jr. is accused of possessing 16 packages of marijuana and 60 pills in what police said he was ready to sell.
WEST CHESTER, PA —A 29-year-old West Chester was arrested in connection with an illegal drug sales operation in which police seized 16 packages of marijuana and 60 prescription pills prepared to sell on the streets, police said.
Joseph Edwards Jr. was arrested at 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. He is free on $50,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
The investigation began on Oct. 3 when a West Chester police officer conducted a traffic stop.

The officer requested the assistance of West Chester University police and the department's K-9 Remi to conduct a sniff of the exterior of the vehicle.
The arrest followed a vehicle search in which police recovered over a pound of individually packaged marijuana, additional evidence of drug sales, and weapons.
Police said a search of Edwards's house resulted in the seizure of additional marijuana, pills, and weapons.
