A West Chester man is on life support following a shooting in Chester Monday night.

A West Chester man is on life support following a shooting in Chester Monday night, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

The 27-year-old shooting victim, currently under the care of Crozer Chester Medical Center, is not expected to survive his injuries, the report said.

According to Chester Police, the man was shot in the back of the head, and found at 9:50 p.m. Monday lying in the street near Ninth Street and Concord Avenue.

Police are withholding the victim’s identity until his family can be notified.

The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.

Monday’s was the latest of 10 shootings in Chester in the past four days.
