Police arrested suspects on drunken driving during a DUI checkpoint on June 8 in downtown West Chester.

WEST CHESTER, PA —West Chester police conducted a DUI checkpoint on June 9 in the 600 block of East Market Street.
These suspects were arrested:
- Vamouyen Kamara, 18, of Coatesville, was stopped at 11:56 p.m. during the June 9 checkpoint because he showed signs of impairment, police said. During a search, police said they found a loaded firearm concealed on Kamara. Kamara is awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of drunken driving and carrying a firearm without a license.
- Scout Mascherino, 19, of West Chester, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of e showed signs of impairment when stopped in the 600 block of East Market Street.
These suspects were also arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs :

- Tiffany M. Evans, 35, of Dagsboro, DE, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of possessing a controlled substance. Police said Evans was driving without a license and possessing illegal narcotics on June 8 in the first block of West Market Street.
- Sebastian Germain, 34, of New York, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of drunken driving after police found Germain sleeping behind the wheel at 4 a.m. on May 29 in the first block of Magnolia Street.
