West Chester Police Report Holding-Cell Vandalism

A man is accused of vandalism after he repeatedly hit a camera in the jail cell, West Chester Police allege.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A West Chester man detained for a summary offense allegedly banged on a holding cell camera until it was dislodged, police said.

On Aug. 2 Thomas Grunow, 26, was issued a summons for institutional vandalism after police said he damaged the holding cell camera around 3 a.m. on July 12.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled in Chester County District Court 15-1-04.

Also in West Chester Police news, on July 28 around 9 p.m., West Chester Police responded to a reported domestic assault in the 100 block of East Gay Street. After an investigation, Roberto Quiles Sanchez, 31, of West Chester, was charged with simple assault and harassment.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled in Chester County District Court 15-1-04 on Aug. 10.

In another case, West Chester Police reported a 21-year-old West Chester man was found in possession of marijuana when stopped on Linden Street in May, and he allegedly also provided two minors with marijuana.
Victor Montes-Munoz, of West Chester, has been charged with corruption of minors, Police reported on Aug. 3.
