West Chester School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

WEST CHESTER, PA — The first day of school in West Chester is August 27 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The West Chester School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/10: No School
• 9/19: No School

October

• 10/5: No School (Teacher In-Service)

November

• 11/6: No School (Teacher In-Service)
• 11/19: Half Day (Elementary School Only)
• 11/20: Half Day (Elementary and Middle School Only)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/18: No School (Teacher In-Service)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15: Half Day (p.m. Teacher In-Service)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/6 - 3/7: Half Day (Elementary and Middle School Only)
• 3/8: No School for Elementary School/Half Day for Middle School and High School
• 3/11: No School (Teacher In-Service)

April

• 4/18 - 4/22: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/21: No School (Teacher In-Service)
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/4: Graduation at East High School
• 6/5: Graduation at Rustin High School
• 6/6: Graduation at Henderson High School
