West Chester SD Adds New Meeting Dates For Reopening Info

Two new Zoom meeting dates are set for the presentation of task force findings, and for a vote on the school district's reopening plan.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Area School District set two new dates for the presentation of task force findings related to school reopening plans. Wednesday, July 29 and Monday, Aug. 3 are designated dates for informing the public of committee findings, and for a school board vote. The meetings will take place on Zoom.

The WCASD has wrapped up a third and final round of task force meetings, along with gathering results of a survey about school opening options sent to parent in June. The survey closed June 22.

A public presentation of committee findings starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 via Zoom.

A meeting of the West Chester Area School Board begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3 and will include the board's vote on an opening of school plan and on safety plan guidelines. This meeting is also via Zoom.

The school district website states that a reopening plan will be communicated to parents on Tuesday, Aug. 4. All WCASD teachers begin work for the next school year on Aug. 24.
