West Chester University Reports 11 Covid-19 Cases

Cases of Covid-19 in late August reported only by West Chester University students living off campus.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester University of Pennsylvania reported 11 Covid-19 cases between Aug. 18 and Aug. 31. All of those cases were reported by students who live off campus.

No university staff reported testing positive for Covid-19, according to WCU's Covid-19 Reporting Data page.

West Chester University is the largest of Pennsylvania's 14 schools in the State System of Higher Education, with total enrollment over 17,000. About one-third of it students live on campus. Its Health and Safety Plan for the return of students to campus includes monitoring for symptoms, getting tested and cooperating with health officials on contact tracing.

West Chester University said it updates its reporting page within 24 hours of receiving any reported Covid-19 cases.
