West Chester Woman, Special Needs Advocate, Dies At 64

West Chester's Deborah Harris, 64, was a passionate volunteer for individuals with special needs.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Deborah E. Harris, 64 of West Chester, PA died Monday May 28, 2018 at her home.

Born February 6, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of the late David W. Elliott and the late Peggy Slone Richardson.

Debbie was active in the trust and estate banking business industry for over 30 years. She volunteered her time as a tutor for those learning English as a second language and was a very charitable person. Debbie also worked as a special needs advocate for those in need. She was a dog lover and rescued many dogs. Debbie loved to travel and had a special place in her heart for Sanibel Island.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Boone (Richard), nephews, Mark Boone, Scott Boone(Kiely), loving friends, Sandra S. Shivers, and Blerim Jashanica. She is also survived by her step children, David Harris (Teresa), Bill Harris, Cindy Wichouski (Jesse), step grandchildren Michael Harris, Cathy Harris, Emma Harris, and Jordan Sander.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 10-11am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, 610-696-1181 www.DellaFH.com; followed by her Memorial Service at 11 a.m.

Interment will be held in private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, P.O. Box 567, Kanab, UT.
