West Chester Women's Gymnastics Team Heads To U.S. Championships
It's just the second time in school history that the team has qualified to compete agianst the nation's best.
WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester University women's gymnastics team continues to make school history, as they prepare to compete at the national level next weekend.
For just the second time ever, the team has qualified for the USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships.
The event is scheduled for April 12 through April 14 at the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut.

The first trip the team ever made to the elite event was back in 2017, according to a news release from the university.
Only 13 of the best schools in the entire country qualified for the event; just eight schools, including West Chester, qualified for the team competition.

West Chester will battle Air Force, Yale, and Lindenwood at 2 p.m. on April 12; while Bridgeport, Cornell, TWU, and UIC will take the floor at 7 p.m. The top two teams in each of those four-team battles will compete in the finals on Saturday, April 13.
