West Goshen Township Workers Rescue Baby Bird From Street Drain

West Goshen Township Public Works crew on Thursday took time to save a baby bird that had fallen into a sewer drain.

WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, PA — It was another day, another baby bird rescue, in West Goshen Township as the Streets Department crew stopped other labor in order to retrieve a baby bird that had fallen into a street drain on Thursday.

It happened just before noon, and West Goshen Township Police said the rescue was a whole-crew effort as the Township's Streets Department workers removed a metal cover and another went in for the rescue just before noon.

Police called it "a daring rescue" and told the crew, "Way to go, guys!"
