Winning PA Lottery Ticket Worth $3M Sold In Chester County

The scratch-off Lottery ticket sold at Wawa in downtown West Chester, Lottery officials said Wednesday.

WEST CHESTER, PA -— A Pennsylvania Lottery ticket worth $3 million was sold to a customer at Wawa, 706 E. Gay St.

The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Sean Manfredi, Wawa manager, said Wednesday afternoon that no one had notified the store yet that the winning ticket was sold there.

He said the Wawa is frequented by college students from West Chester University, locals as well as out-of-towners.

“A lot of people from other areas pass through here,” he said.

The manager said that $1,000 was the highest payout in the last several months.

The $3 million payoff is a $30 game when the player’s numbers match the winning numbers.

Scratch-off tickets are distributed to retailers stores at random. A lottery app is available here.

Scratch-off prizes expire one year from the game's end-sale date posted at palottery.com.

Winners should immediately sign the back of their ticket and call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481.

All lottery prizes more than $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding taxes.
