Woman Charged With Carjacking In West Chester Parking Lot
A 24-year-old woman is in Chester County Prison on charges of robbery and aggravated assault in Bradford Plaza parking lot.

WEST CHESTER, PA —A 24-year-old West Chester woman was arrested on charges of carjacking an unidentified victim, running over the victim, and striking a bystander at 7 p.m. Friday at Bradford Plaza parking lot.
Kayla Jacobs-Merritt is in Chester County Prison Monday in lieu of $250,000 awaiting a preliminary hearing after being arraigned before District Judge Marc J. Lieberman on charges of robbing a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, and making terroristic threats.
Police said Jacobs-Merritt got into a vehicle without permission and threatened to stab the victim in the parking lot at 680 Downingtown Park.

The suspect then ran over the victim and hit a bystander with the vehicle.
