Woman Was DUI As She Blew Through Red Light: West Chester Police

A Glen Mills woman who ran a red light at 2:15 a.m. on a Saturday morning was drunk, West Chester Police allege.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A driver who allegedly blew through a red light while cops watched, at 2:30 a.m. is charged with DUI.

A Glen Mills woman stopped by police when she ran a traffic light at 2:15 a.m. on June 12 in West Chester Borough was found to be impaired, according to police. Officers reported they saw a car blow through the traffic light at the intersection of Gay and High streets when the signal was red.

When police stopped the vehicle, they determined the driver was drunk and reported she was incapable of driving a vehicle safely.

Anna Paris, 30, was charged with DUI, the report said. A preliminary hearing is pending in Chester County District Court.

According to court records, Paris pleaded guilty to a summary offense of running a stop sign in 2017 and to an Open Container violation in 2012.
