Young Man Charged With Robbery, Burglary In West Chester: Police

An 18-year-old West Chester man is charged with multiple felonies after a home invasion incident, West Chester Police reported.

WEST CHESTER, PA — An 18-year-old West Chester man is charged with burglary and robbery after a recent home invasion in West Chester, police reported.

On Oct. 17 the West Chester Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Dean Street for a home invasion robbery that had just occurred, a police report said.

Through an investigation, Luis Arizmendi, 18, of West Chester, was identified and has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, robbery with threat of serious injury, conspiracy to break into a structure, conspiracy to commit robbery, and conspiracy to commit burglary with a person present — all felony charges. He is also charged with four related misdemeanors, according to court records.

Arizmendi, along with three other suspects, forced their way into the home, the police report alleges. After assaulting the residents they stole numerous items from inside the residence, the police report said.

Arizmendi's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12 in Chester County court.
