Youth Hockey Players Fight Back Against Cancer In West Chester
A charity ice hockey tournament in West Chester will raise funds to support families and research fighting childhood cancer.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A charity ice hockey tournament in West Chester will raise funds to support families and research fighting childhood cancer.
The Frozen Lemonade Cup tournament is working directly with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and will provide all proceeds from their events to the Foundation.
The first Frozen Cup events took place in Rockville, Maryland, this past weekend. On Sunday, April 29, the final Cup games of the year are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ice Line Quad Rinks.

"It all started with one hockey dad, Larry Kagan and is currently being organized by just 3 of us," says organizer Amanda J. Zavodnick. "Our hockey loving kids, awesome USA Hockey coaches and tons of different hockey communities are all volunteering their time and efforts and have raised close to $50,000 for kids with cancer this year."
More than 140 players are expected to compete in games in West Chester this weekend.
