City Of Wilkes-Barre: Holiday Collections Schedules

The City of Wilkes-Barre reminds residents of the following curbside collection schedule changes due to the upcoming holidays. Please note that there are changes from information that is in the City Calendar.

CHRISTMASCity Hall will be closed and there will be no DPW collections on Friday, December 24th. Residents in the East End, Parsons & Miners Mills neighborhoods will have their Plastics, Glass, and Can Recycling and Garbage Collection postponed to Monday, December 27th.

NEW YEAR’SCity Hall will be closed and there will be no DPW collections on Friday, December 31st. Residents in the East End, Parsons & Miners Mills neighborhoods will have their Paper and Cardboard Recycling and Garbage Collection postponed to Monday, January 3rd.

CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTIONWilkes-Barre City DPW will collect natural Christmas Trees curbside on residents’ regular collection day, from January 10th through 28th. Please remove all decorations and tree bags. Bagged trees will not be accepted.
