City Of Wilkes-Barre: Mayor Brown Authorizes Flying Of Ukrainian Flags On City Property

Wilkes-Barre Mayor George C. Brown today announced that he has authorized the flying of the Ukrainian Flag, on city property, in solidarity with the Ukrainian people fighting and suffering the Russian invasion of their Country. 

The Ukrainian people have a long history of work and social contributions to our city and the Wyoming Valley.  The flags flying over Public Square, the Police Station and the Fire Headquarters will signify the city and its residents’ strong support for all Ukrainian citizens in their time of struggle.
