Matthew joined the Chamber in 2015 as a Senior Accountant, and has spent the last 7 years leading the finance department in cleaning up the organization’s balance sheet to better enable the Chamber and its affiliates to look to the future and to be an agent of change in the Wyoming Valley. Within the last two years, Matthew has been pivotal in leading the organization’s role in assisting in the disbursement of pandemic funding to small businesses in our region, through programs such as the COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program and the Spark Wilkes-Barre Grant Program.
“Almost 7 years ago, I started at the Chamber as a Senior Accountant and have since moved up within the organization to become the CFO/VP of Finance. Through this new role, I am most excited to assist in leading the chamber forward and growing our role within the community. Through the hard work of our staff and through the leadership of our Board of Directors, our organization’s balance sheet has come a long way from where it was 7 years ago, and I am incredibly excited for the future progress we can make,” says Matthew Bickert, CPA, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce and Greater Wilkes Barre Chamber of Business & Industry.
