Please come and join in the fun at the new Wilkes-Barre Downtown Skating Rink 

Luzerne County Sports Hall of Fame 2013 Alumni Karel Zubris will be holding a Kid’s Skating Clinic from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday 2/19/2022 at the ice rink on Public Square. This clinic will offer basic skating skills for beginners. Please have the children bring their own skates. Children are encouraged to wear helmets but they are not required.

Ms.Zubris has been teaching skating lessons for years. She has taught classes at the Ice A Rama, the Stadium on Ice Lackawanna County, the Toyota SportsPlex in Wilkes-Barre and the Rev in Pittston. She also was a skating judge for the Keystone State Games for many years and was one of the founding members of the Diamond City Figure Skating Club, where she served as public relations chair. She has served as a skating judge for many years at the Keystone State Games. She was a founding member of the Diamond City Figure Skating Club, a member of the Profession al Skaters Association, The Ice Skating Institute and the United States Figure Skating Association. She is a member of the Professional Skaters Association, The Ice Skating Institute, and the United States Figure Skating Association.
