Meet A Future Leader In Wilkes-Barre: KateLyn Krzysik

The future of Wilkes-Barre is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like KateLyn Krzysik, who are making a positive impact in and around Wilkes-Barre.
KateLyn, currently a sophomore student at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, was honored in May 2023 with the prestigious Eric A. and Josephine Walker Award. This recognition is given annually to one Commonwealth Campus student who exemplifies exceptional character, scholarship, leadership and citizenship. KateLyn's dedication to programs and services that positively impact her fellow students has significantly contributed to the well-being of her campus and the broader reputation of Penn State University.
The Walker Award highlights KateLyn’s remarkable ability to lead and inspire others while maintaining academic excellence. In addition to her efforts to enhance campus life, KateLyn is a defensive specialist on the women’s volleyball team.
