• 'An amazing feeling': Windber's Kaylie Gaye reaches 1,000 career points in win over Moshannon Valley (centredaily.com) — Windber fans have a new milestone to celebrate as Windber Area senior guard Kaylie Gaye surpassed 1,000 career points during a dominant home win over Moshannon Valley. Gaye led the Ramblers with 18 points, sparking big scoring runs and joining her sister on the program’s 1,000-point list. Several Windber teammates also contributed double-digit points and rebounds in the lopsided victory.
   

• Police: Man charged after victim suffers brain bleed in alleged assault at Windber VFW (wjactv.com) — Windber Borough Police have charged a 54-year-old man after another man reportedly suffered serious head injuries, including a brain bleed, following an alleged altercation outside the Windber VFW in early November. Investigators say surveillance video shows a dispute that moved outside, where the victim was struck and later hospitalized for weeks. The accused is currently free on unsecured bail.
