$230K Bitcoin Fraud, $30K Stolen From SafeLower Makefield Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its recent blotter of criminal incidents, including $30,000 removed from a safe and a $230,000 Bitcoin scam.

DUI ARREST — 500 block of West Trenton Avenue, reported at 10:04 p.m. Police stopped a vehicle for violations. A records check revealed the 42-year-old township man was wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff's Office. Further investigation led to the arrest of the man for Driving Under the Influence. He was taken into police custody.

THEFT — 1500 block of Westover Road, reported at 4:14 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed $30,000 in cash from a locked safe.
June 10
FRAUD — 2000 block of Farmview Drive, reported at 11:09 a.m. The complainant reported their
Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin accounts were compromised, and $230,000 was removed.
SOLICITORS:
- Unit block of Ardsley Road, reported at 6:31 p.m. The complainant reported solicitors for Terminix soliciting without permits. The supervisor was contacted by phone and advised to cease soliciting immediately until permits were obtained.
- Unit block of Effingham Road, reported at 8:33 p.m. The complainant reported solicitors for Terminix still soliciting without permits after being advised to cease. The manager, a 27-year-old man from Ridgewood, N.Y., was cited for Soliciting Without a Permit.
June 9
IDENTITY THEFT —1000 block of University Drive, reported at 8:42 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened several credit cards in their name.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Unit block of Delaware Rim Drive, reported at 12:41 p.m. The complainant reported ongoing harassment from a neighbor. The 38-year-old township woman was cited for Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.
UNDERAGE DRINKING — Oxford Road and Lakeshore Drive, reported at 7:28 p.m. Police responded to a well-being check. Further investigation led to two juvenile males being cited for Underage Drinking.
