Big-Truck Drivers Cited In Lower Makefield Operation

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Makefield spent Wednesday checking for safety violations by truck drivers on the bypass.

The truck safety check was run by the department's truck enforcement unit. Officers were checking for safety violations on the trucks as well as making sure drivers had the proper commercial driver qualifications.

In all, four trucks were cited in the operation, along with two drivers. One of those drivers was taken out of service as a result of the operation, LMT police said.
