Domestic Dispute Leads To Charges In Yardley

Yardley Borough Police charged a suspect on Friday with assault and other offenses following an incident on Feb. 21.

YARDLEY, PA —A 49-year-old suspect is in custody following a domestic dispute that took place late last month, police said.

Police Chief Joseph Kelly III said the incident occurred on the 300 block of Main Street on Feb. 21.

At 7 p.m. on Feb. 21, Yardley Borough police officers responded to a dispute at a residence.

During the follow-up investigations, probable cause was developed to support charges of assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.

On Friday, an arrest warrant was issued, and the suspect, age 49, was taken into custody at his home in Yardley, police said.

The suspect was processed, arraigned, and remanded to the Bucks County Jail with bail set at 10 percent of $10,000.

Police did not provide details of the incident not the suspect's gender and name.
