Local Family Donates 'Life Line' Rescue Equipment To Upper Makefield

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — One local family earned a glowing thank-you from Upper Makefield authorities after donating rescue equipment to the municipality.

The donation will ensure that each patrol vehicle in Upper Makefield will be equipped with a “life line,” which will help police rescue distressed swimmers from rivers or canals.

“We would like to take a moment and thank the Green Family who were so kind and generous to donate rescue throw ropes to our department,” Upper Makefield police said in a statement.

“This simple device is just another tool to ensure that your department is equipped to effectively handle any emergencies that may come our way so that we can be better able to serve and protect our community,” police added. “Thanks again to the Green Family for this donation as we truly appreciate it!! Our community never ceases to amaze us! Thank you!”
