Lower Makefield Homeowner Busts Attempted Burglary: Police

A Lower Makefield resident discovered a ladder up against the home - and an unknown man standing on his roof, police said.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA - An attempted burglary was thwarted earlier this month after a Lower Makefield resident discovered a ladder up against the home -- and an unknown man standing on his roof, authorities said.

The incident occurred on March 18 at around 8:15 p.m. on the 300 block of Arborlea Avenue, Lower Makefield police said in a blotter statement.

After arriving home from work to find a ladder up against the home and asking other residents if they had set the ladder up, the homeowner observed an unknown male standing on the garage roof, police said.

The male jumped off the roof into the rear yard and fled on foot into the woods.
