Lower Makefield Man Gets Prison For Deadly Falls DUI Crash

He was sentenced Monday for the June 2, 2018 crash on Lincoln Highway.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A Lower Makefield man could spend more than a decade in prison for causing a deadly crash while driving drunk in Falls Township last year.

Charles Edward Fisher, 25, was sentenced Monday to four years and five months to 11 years and six months in state prison, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.

Fisher was driving drunk on June 2, 2018, when he crashed his Ford Escape into a Mercury Mariner being driven by Michael Carlino, 65, of Bensalem. The crash happened on the 200 block of Lincoln Highway.

In August, Fisher pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle while DUI, which is a felony, and other misdemeanor charges.

Police in the case said Fisher had been drinking all day before the 8 p.m. crash. He had a blood alcohol content of .10 at the time of the crash, according to police.
