LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A pair of Lower Makefield Township Police officer were honored Thursday for saving the life of an apparent overdose victim.

On Sept. 21, Officer Colin McTamany responded to the report of a 25-year-old woman who had overdosed and was unconscious inside a parked vehicle on Oxford Valley Road.

McTamany assessed the victim, recognizing she was in respiratory distress due to an overdose, and administered a dose of Narcan, a drug that counters the impact of opioid overdoses.
