Lower Makefield Police Capture NJ Man Wanted For A Trenton Crime

Lower Makefield Police caught a Trenton, N.J., man who had driven through the township several times with a stolen vehicle.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A man wanted for a burglary in Trenton, N.J., is in custody after giving Lower Makefield Township Police a run for their money.

Lower Makefield Police responded to a unit block of Eat Trenton Avenue at 3:18 p.m. on March 28 after LPR technology alerted them to a stolen vehicle in the area.

The vehicle had driven through Lower Makefield on numerous occasions, including on March 20, when the driver failed to stop for police.

The vehicle passed through the township again on March 28 and pulled into a parking lot, with a man exiting the vehicle, police said.

After being advised to stop, the 34-year-old Trenton, N.J., man fled on foot.

Police were able to detain him just over the Calhoun Street Bridge in New Jersey.

The man was taken into police custody and turned over to the Trenton Police Department for a burglary warrant. Police obtained a warrant, and the man was sent to Mercer County Prison.
