During the robbery, the defendant pulled a silver knife with a black handle and a loaded syringe on a cashier and demanded money. He made off with $140.

Two days later, Hernandez Cuadrado robbed the Triple 1 Smoke Shop on East Trenton Avenue.

In the robbery, authorities said he also pulled a silver knife with a black handle on the cashier and took $500 from two registers and filled a plastic bag with multiple cartons of cigarettes.

In both robberies, Hernandez Cuadrado fled on a bike, authorities said.

Police recovered surveillance footage that showed him crossing the bridge into Trento and removing and discarding clothing. He was arrested by Trenton Police on Sept. 25, 2023.

When he was arrested, Hernandez Cuadrado had a bike that matched the one he was seen riding over the bridge.

He was also in possession of 16 unopened packs of Newport cigarettes and a black-and-silver knife and had a bike that was used during the Sept. 22 Dollar Tree robbery.
