Pennsbury School Gets Grant For Cafeteria Equipment
The $5,710 grant will buy a new convection steamer at the school.
FALLSINGTON, PA — A school in the Pennsbury School District is getting a little help from the feds serving meals to its students.
Penn Valley Elementary School, in Levittown, has been awarded a $5,710 grant to buy a new convection steamer for its kitchen. Penn Valley was one of 72 schools across Pennsylvania to receive funds to pay for food service equipment for their cafeterias.
Schools eligible for these grants participate in the National School Lunch Program and priority is given to those that have at least 50 percent of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals. These funds were made available by the United States Department of Agriculture.
