Man tried to choke WellSpan York Hospital worker, police say (yorkdispatch.com) — A York County man is accused of choking a nursing assistant at WellSpan York Hospital while he was a patient there, leading to felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges. Police say staff intervened, the worker was treated for neck bruising, and the suspect is now held in York County Prison on $10,000 bail with a February preliminary hearing scheduled.

Local volunteers, a drone operator, and Canine Rescue of Central PA teamed up to track her through Dillsburg cornfields, while a snack company stepped in to cover her medical bills and lifelong cheese ball supply.
