Fugitive Involved In Molotov Cocktail Incident Apprehended In Fall River: Cops

Officers chased the man through yards before catching him, police said.

FALL RIVER, MA — A man wanted for his involvement in using a Molotov cocktail in Rhode Island was apprehended after running off and hiding in a shed in Fall River, police said.

Officers looking for Armando Gonzalez, 38, headed to a residence on Tecumseh Street near Dover Street Christmas Eve morning, the Fall River police said in a post on the department's Facebook page.

Gonzalez was a "fugitive from justice wanted by authorities in the State of Rhode Island for his alleged involvement in the use of a Molotov cocktail," according to the post.

"Upon officers’ arrival, (Gonzalez) fled from the front door of the residence," the post said.

"Officers immediately initiated a foot pursuit through neighboring yards," according to the post.

Gonzalez was "later located hiding inside a shed in the backyard of a residence in the 300 block of Snell Street," the post said.

Gonzalez faces extradition proceedings and was also charged in Massachusetts with fugitive from justice and resisting arrest, according to the post.
