Severe Thunderstorm Warning For 3 Rhode Island Counties

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for much of Rhode Island.

The warning starts early Friday afternoon and applied to Northeastern Kent, Southeastern Providence Northwestern Bristol counties.

The National Weather Service predicted 60 mp winds and said to expect "damage to trees and power lines."

"For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building," the National Weather Service advised.
