Eagles Run to 6th Straight Win, Stay Unbeaten

Barrington High School tallies five rushing TDs in overpowering New Bedford in a non-league game at Victory Field.

Barrington High’s football team stayed unbeaten last Friday night behind a powerful running game, according to southcoasttoday.com.

The Eagles hosted New Bedford High School at Victory Field in front of a large crowd and ran off with a 40-28 win – the squad's sixth straight this season.

Senior fullback J. R. Martin racked up 126 yards on 10 carries and scored on a 49-yard TD run to lead the Eagles. It was one of five touchdown runs.

Barrington jumped out to a 19-0 lead over the Whalers and extended it to 33-6 before New Bedford bounced back with two TDs. That’s when Martin busted his 49-yard run to finish the Eagles’ scoring for the night and put the game out of reach for good.
