'Innocents' Will Scare You, History of Jazz Will Educate You

Here are a few things you may want to know about today in and around Barrington:

• Partly cloudy all day with temperatures rising into the mid-60s.
• ‘The Innocents’ continues the ‘Things That Go Bump in the Night’ Film Series at 1 pm in the Barrington library auditorim. It is led by librarian and cinema buff Doug Swiszcz, who will provide pre-showing commentary.
• Hear Lloyd Kaplan, teacher and jazz musician, talk about the history of jazz in America at 7 pm – the second of a free three-part series featuring live music by The Aristocats and the Barrington High School Jazz Ensemble. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Barrington Public Library. 
• The Barrington Harbor Commission meets at 7:30 pm in the harbormaster’s office in the Public Safety Building on Federal Road.
• The Barrington Cemetery Commission gathers at 3 pm in the Barrington library meeting room on the second floor.
