Police Probing Alleged Assault on School Bus

A 13-year-old boy and a bus monitor allegedly got into a dispute that led to him being thrown off the school bus on Sowams Road in Barrington.

Barrington police detectives continue their investigation into a bloody assault on a school bus last Monday afternoon, Oct. 7, according to Police Chief John LaCross.

A 13-year-old boy who was thrown off the First Student bus on Sowams Road is alleging that a bus monitor assaulted him during an altercation between them.

The monitor and the bus driver dispute that allegation; they say that the teen assaulted the bus monitor during a confrontation on the vehicle.
