Vacancies Sprout on Barrington's Boards
The Town Council has to fill eight vacancies on boards and commissions; 11 reappointments also need to be made.

Have you ever considered volunteering some time to serve on one of Barrington’s boards and commissions?
Eight of the town’s boards and commissions have vacancies. And the Town Council wants to fill them as soon as possible.
 Interviews for the vacancies take place in front of the Town Council at a monthly meeting. Here are the committees with vacancies, according to the Town Clerk’s Office.Â

- Energy Committee:Â 1 vacancy
- Housing Board of Trustees:Â 1 vacancy
- Board of Assessment Review: 1 vacancy
- Committee on Appropriations: 1 vacancy
- Ad Hoc Taxation/Assessment Advisory Committee: 1 vacancy
- Cemetery Commission: 1 vacancy
- Building Board of Review: 1 vacancy – Position requirement – Architect
- Park and Recreation Commission: 1 vacancy
- Park and Recreation Commission: 1 reappointment
- Conservation Commission: 3 reappointments
- Harbor Commission: 3 reappointments
- Library Trustees: 2 reappointments
- Zoning Board of Review: 2 reappointments
You can get résumé forms to apply for the openings online at the Barrington website (www.barrington.ri.gov), at the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall, or at the Barrington Library.Â
Submit your application to the Town Clerk’s Office. The deadline is next Thursday, Nov. 21.
