Victor 'Chet' Masiello, 90, Retired Car Salesman

His calling hours and funeral service are today from Smith-Mason Funeral Home in Riverside.

Victor "Chet"Β Masiello, of Barrington, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013. He was 90.

He was the beloved husband of Rose (DeCaporale) Masiello and they had been married for 70 years. Born in Barrington, he was a son of the late Ralph and Rosealba (DeChristafaro).

He was a car salesman for the former DeStefano Ford in Barrington for 47 years and previously worked for the Barrington Police Department for 2 years. He was a lifetime member of the YMCA and was an avid golfer, honored by being named a life member of the Wanumetonomy Country Club. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He leaves a brother, Anthony Masiello, a sister, Constance Masiello both of Barrington, 3 nieces and 5 nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael, Frank and Ralph Masiello.

His funeral will be held on today at 9 am from the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Maria Del Campo Cemetery in Barrington.

Calling hours are today from 8:45 to 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Holy Angels Church would be appreciated.Β
