What's Open, Closed on Thanksgiving?

All government offices, the schools, the public library and the senior center are closed on Thanksgiving and Friday, Nov. 29. There is no mail delivery on Thanksgiving.

Some stores and restaurants are open on turkey day, though. So, if you need a few last-minute supplies, or you need to fill a prescription, or you need a cup of coffee on your way to the football game, you can find it.

And you can fill up your tank with gas for that trip to grandma's house. Or get a workout.

Here are some of the places that are open in Barrington today:

Barrington Shell Station: 242 County Road, gas, convenience store and car wash. Hours: open all day.

CVS/Pharmacy: 186 County Road, Barrington Shopping Plaza. Hours: 7 am to 10 pm; pharmacy, 8 am to 2 pm.

Dunkin' Donuts: 256 County Road. Hours: 5:30 am to 11 pm.

Starbucks: 186 County Road, Barrington Shopping Plaza. Hours: 6 am to 3 pm.

Rite-Aid Pharmacy: 236 County Road. Hours: 8 am to 5 pm; pharmacy, 9 am to 2 pm.

Bayside YMCA, West Street, Barrington. Hours: 6 to 10 am.
