Bristol Police Accepting Police Officer Applications
The department is looking to hire and applications will be accepted until Aug. 14.

BRISTOL, RI—The Bristol Police Department is looking to hire new police officers and is actively seeking applications until mid-August deadline.
Applications are available at the Bristol Police Department's headquarters or online at the town's website and must be submitted by Sunday, Aug. 14.
All applicants must be at least 21, a U.S. citizen, possess a valid driver's license and have at least 60 college credits or honorable military service.

Getting through the application process is no simple task. Along with meeting the base requirements, a select number of recruits must then go on to complete a 20-week training program at the Municipal Police Training Academy and meet stringent mental and physical standards.
