Bristol Police Log: Assaults, Resisting Arrest, Drug Possession

The Bristol Police Department reported the following recent arrests:

• Deirdre Mosher-Silva, 46, of 6 Seaview Ave., on one count each of simple assault and resisting arrest on Jan. 2. She is scheduled for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court on Jan. 16.
• Anthony Vasconcellos, 50, of 59 St. Elizabeth St., on charges of disorderly conduct and marijuana possession following his arrest on Jan. 5 at about 12:45 am.
• Joseph Silva, 57, of 115 DeWolf Ave., on Jan. 5 on an active warrant issued by Sixth District Court for failure to appear at at Dec. 12 arraignment for charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest brought by Bristol Police. He is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Jan. 25.
• James Afonso, 27, of 14 Prospect St., on a charge of marijuana possession on Jan. 5. A formal arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 16.
• Hilary Grieve-McDermott, 36, of 2 Slocum St., on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Jan. 6.
• Thomas Smith, 59, of 14 Doran Ave., on one count of domestic simple assault following his arrest on Jan. 6. He pleaded not guilty at arraignment on Jan. 7; a no-contact order was imposed, and a pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25.
